FAQs
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focused on controlled movement, core strength, and body awareness. It’s challenging without being harsh on your joints, which is a big part of why people keep coming back to it.
Who is Pilates for?
Everyone. Whether you’re recovering from injury, building on an existing fitness base, or just looking for something that actually works, Pilates meets you where you are. Our classes welcome all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Regular practice builds core strength, improves posture, increases flexibility, and sharpens body awareness. Most people also notice they move better in everyday life. Less stiffness, better balance, fewer aches.
What should I expect in a Pilates class at Aqtive?
A small group setting with an instructor who actually pays attention. You’ll move through a series of body-weight exercises at a pace that challenges you without overwhelming you. Expect to leave feeling worked… and good.
Is Pilates suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. All our Pilates classes are designed for every level. Your instructor will guide you through each movement so you can work at your own pace from day one.
How often should I attend Pilates classes?
Two to three times a week is a good rhythm for most people. You’ll start noticing a difference in how you move and feel within a few weeks of consistent practice.
What should I wear to Pilates class?
Comfortable clothes that let you move freely. Grip socks are recommended. You can bring your own mat or we have mats available on site. For Hot Pilates, dress light, carry a full-size towel, and bring a water bottle.
